Nakoma welcomes new residents with an open invitation to take part in their new community. Seasonal gatherings, children's activities, and charitable causes are just a few of the reasons neighbors come together each year. The League organizes and oversees these activities as well as writes, publishes, and distributes a quarterly newsletter keeping residents informed of the social events calendar. Each January, the League requests dues from each household. These dues fund the directory, website, newsletters and storage unit. Every residence receives a directory and quarterly newsletters.

Below is the list and link to the details of the current League sponsored social events. There is a nominal fee for each to cover expenses such as food and beverages, supplies and rentals. Events are not paid for with League dues and are designed to be self-sustaining so that only those neighbors who elect to attend the event will be responsible for its cost.
