Adopt A Family - Holiday Season Campaign

Charitable giving is one-half of the mission of the Nakoma League, and you can help fulfill that mission every holiday season. We are partnering again with the YWCA Third Street residence program, which provides affordable housing and support services to single mothers and young children overcoming homelessness and abuse. This year we have pledged to adopt 15(!) families by providing holiday gifts (and a very happy Christmas morning!) to every mother and child. In past years, our neighborhood has donated very generously, and we hope your generosity will continue this year.

Adopting: You may commit to shopping and wrapping gifts for an entire family, or you can partner with other neighbors to complete a family’s wish list. 
Donating: If the idea of holiday shopping makes your skin crawl, please consider a cash donation. Donations will first be used to complete family wish lists and surplus funds will be provided to the coordinator for programs that benefit all residents. Please click the “donate” button above, OR mail a donation to our Treasurer at 4014 Cherokee Drive, with Adopt a Family in the memo.
Volunteering: We can always use help with last-minute shopping, wrapping, and delivery of gifts to the YWCA.
